Mathias Augestad Ambjør is an actor based in Oslo. He trained at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art (RADA), gaining a Master's degree in 2022. He started his formal actor training at Nord University in Norway in 2014 in the Lecoq tradition, graduating in 2017.

Mathias Augestad Ambjør is a theatre maker, and co-runs a theatre company called Feil Teater, founded in 2015. He has worked as an actor, director, dramatist, composer and producer for the company. In 2023 the company received a Hedda Award for Best Production for Children. They were nominated again in 2025 for Flukten fra Botsen, a show Mathias both co-directed and starred in.

Mathias started his professional career in film and television when he was 14 years old, in shows like Hotel Cæsar and Hvaler, and film productions like Maskeblomstfamilien and The Light That I Feel. After graduating from RADA, he toured Europe with an adaptation of Animal Farm by George Orwell. He then worked in the UK, before relocating to Oslo in 2023 to play Olaf in Frozen the Musical at Det Norske Teatret. In 2024 he was cast in Sportskoret, Spynorsk the Musical and the leading role of Julian in Snøsøstera at the same theatre.

Mathias is a versatile actor who enjoys classical and contemporary plays as well as physical theatre, musical theatre, voice-over work, puppetry and stage combat. He is fluent in English and Norwegian. He is represented by Panorama Agency.
